This toy is just awesome! This is a toy for everyone, all ages. Adult, child, whatever! This is a must have for anyone. The only problem is, the flame in the back of Kranxx's ship keeps falling off. It took me about 5-10 hours to build it. It is a pure master peace of Lego.

I am six. The Claw Digger is one of my favorite Lego toys. I like it because it has claw digging action and I like to use it to crush the rock monster. I also like to take the rock monster's head off. It doesn't break as easily as some other sets do. It's neat that the pickax goes in between the lights. Mata nui, a major character from the start, has finally had a kit released. Mata nui is not gold as indicated on the box, he is yellow. If you are an experienced Bionicle builder, it shouldn't take long to build him. He can launch a Thornax and is the main protaganist in the 2009 storyline. If you have another Glatorian or Glatorian Legends you can play the action figure game with him. It's also fun to play with. I purchased this set for my five year old. He enjoys playing with it in the bath and loves the shark and the little raft that comes with it. He doesn't play with the light house because it keeps coming apart. It frustrates him that the roof keeps coming off.

Since the Power Miner sets and story started being featured in all of the lego club member catalogues and magazines, it hit the top of the must-have list for my 10-yr. old lego nut (knocking out, at least temporarily Star Wars, Transformers, and Indiana Jones). Although he used his allowance to purchase this one and the usually cheaper Stone Chopper (for some reason it currently costs more on Amazon), this is your best bet for a good under $10, starter Power Miner set.

- It has all the necessary ingredients for playing and imagination power: figurine, rock monster with crystal, accessory (mining pick) combined with a substantial versatiile mining vehicle.

- It combines with the Stone Chopper (using instructions found on the legos site) to make a larger piece. (Apparently, this is big deal with Lego nuts - and both can be found for less than $20). As a side note, other sets that can be combined to make larger more powerful pieces include: 1) LEGO Granite Grinder/Thunder Driller and 2) LEGO Claw Digger and Crystal Sweeper.

Bottom Line: My 10-year old nephew put his hard-earned allowance against it after weighing many options (endlessly), and is happy with the choice and it's still providing endless playing power.

My 5 year old son received this LEGO set for his birthday. He is a garbage truck fanatic and was totally excited about putting this together and playing with it! The age range is 5-12 years old so I figured he would be able to put his truck together. He couldn't even begin to do this by himself and he is a really smart kid! I ended up putting the truck together with his help. He really likes the truck and it is really cool the way the rear portion lifts up, but unfortunately it breaks apart with the slightest bit of pressure. That being said.... it is a cool truck and LEGOs are wonderful toys that work on a child's fine motor skills. This is a cool little Indy set, and makes a good display piece. The trap wall mechanism is cool, but the 'hideout' for the crystal skull behind the conquistador should be closed off. Could also use some more scorpions. As for play value, the boy and I could only get so much out of it, since there's not much room for an encounter with the native guards. Much shorter than the scene in the movie. We combined our's with the hideout and trees in the Jungle Cutter set, as well as a green baseplate, for a little more real estate. Don't let that disuade you, overall, if you're collecting, this one's a must.

Pros - It's Indy. Scorpions. Cool trap wall and dead conquistador. More bad guys is always a good thing.

You have to get this toy! It's one of those smaller sets and probably cheaper elsewhere (about half), but nonetheless, if it's gone already from your store, be sure to grab this one. It's probably one of the most durable Lego sets we've ever purchased. It even took being slammed up against a wall without breaking! My son actually went online to put this set in his wish list! This is a true winner to give to any serious Lego brickmaster who knows ins and outs of star wars and have many other sets before. Let me start by saying that this isn't the kind of Lego kit you buy to keep your child busy building for hours on end. It's only 79 pieces, and I'd guess would take even the most inexperienced builder only 5 or 10 minutes to put together. Why buy it then?

For starters, this set has 4 whole minifigures, including Indy, Marion, and two bad guys. That's a lot of little Lego guys for a set in this price range, and one of them is even a girl, quite a rare specimen in Legoland! There are also lots of unusual and interesting accessory pieces... Indy's whip, a frying pan, a golden plate, a couple of green apples, and a huge barrel that the figures can hide inside. This is not a set that will be built and stuck away on a shelf. I find ALL the 'battle-packs' Lego puts out are perfect to get your kid into Lego. Don't go too large with the models at first but instead pick up these clone battle packs or droid battle packs. Very easy builds for a 5 yr. old on up.
